Warning!, It may be wise not to buy a Slaters new car service plan. Slaters have refused to honour my 3rd year service on plan issued by their Abergele Nissan branch. The branch went bust in March 2018. Buy your service plan from the manufacturer so it can be used at any franchised dealer in the country if this dealer also goes bust.
After spending a significant amount of time discussing the work required on my car, I took a days leave & a 160 mile round trip to bring my car in for a tailgate to be fixed, to receive a call 30 mins later to inform me some of the parts needed werent ordered. I am now having to take another days leave out of my allowance at a cost of 140 a day to me along with a tank of diesel at 75. Im absolutely disgusted as I called on two occasions to ensure the parts were in & correct. They werent in & I requested a phone call to tell me when they had arrived. Didnt get that call. My 79 year old dad came in to chase up the part also.Right hand doesnt know what the left hand is doing. By the time this shambles is resolved it will have cost me in leave & fuel what the part & labour has cost! Therefore youve cost me double. How can a simple job be turned into such a farce

DISHONEST! Tried to Pull a Fast One (tried, but failed). This happened a few years ago: The car developed a minor engine fault shortly after buying it; we duly reported the problem and they repaired the fault which was covered under the warranty, so we didn't have to pay anything for the repair work. Great! Then, however, they told us that the right rear brake light (which isn't covered under the warranty) was "failing", according to their "diagnostic test", and they advised us to have it replaced (by them). I just knew the maintenance guy wasn't being straight with me, he avoided eye contact and basically exuded fidgety insincerity. We told him we'd get a local garage to look at the "failing" brake light. Well, the brake light is fine, it didn't need to be replaced after all; and it's still going strong after several years. LOGICAL INFERENCE: Slaters didn't want to honour the agreement as set out in the warranty; they wanted us to pay for the work carried out on the engine, so they lied to us about the rear brake light, hoping we'd pay out money there and then. Like I said, they are dishonest; a bunch of petty crooks. We'll never do business with them again.
