Every time I walk down Station Road I see illegally parked cars some of which seem to there in the same places all day, every day. At present its a grey Mercedes and a white Astra that for all I can tell havent moved for weeks. There are traffic wardens in Colwyn Bay who are always quick to slap a ticket on anyone who has stayed for 2 hours and 5 minutes in a 2 hour zone yet that always seem to turn a blind eye to the regulars on Station Road. Id love to know why this is. I recognise these cars as being regular offenders so I cant believe that the wardens are quite as clueless as they appear to be.

I visited this pedestrianised street yesterday - a Tuesday which is market day in Colwyn Bay. The town was surprisingly busy with plenty of people walking up and down the pedestrianised area browsing at the market stalls. I was therefore absolutely disgusted to see a number of motorists act in an unbelievably stupid manner by driving through the pedestrianised area. They were weaving in and out of pedestrians and market stalls and sending groups of pedestrians scattering for safety. Even worse this took place mere hours after a suspected terrorist attack in London in which a car was driven through groups of pedestrians. Clearly the motorists concerned were completely devoid of brain cells to have acted in this way and especially at this time but the bollards at both ends of the street which should have prevented access to vehicles were out of order at both ends so the local council is just as culpable. Hopefully somebody will take action before a death occurs.

Station Road is the traditional shopping centre in Colwyn Bay and has for many years been pedestrianised to improve the shopping experience. Sadly though many motorists blatantly ignore the signs and illegally drive through and park in the pedestrianised zone. There's a particular "hot spot" around William Hill, Dominos Pizza and the Turkish barbers. Although traffic wardens regularly patrol Colwyn Bay for some reason they seem to turn a blind eye to the illegal activity on Station Road. I would like to award more than two stars but a pedestrianised zone shouldn't have a constant flow of traffic weaving in and out the pedestrians. One day there will be a serious accident here and someone will be killed or seriously injured but sadly it appears that the authorities won't bother to take any action until that day.
