Not my first visit, but my first review. I had the Cod special: cod, chips, mushy peas, bread & butter and a pot of tea, all for 5.95. What a bargain, but most important it was really tasty and fresh.
Disappointed at the choice of good being vegetarian. Chips are cooked in same oil as fish and sausages and gravy is not vegetarian. Ended up eating a baguette with salad. On the plus side my partner who is a non vegetarian enjoyed his meal...
Simply scrumptious fish and chips. Can't wait to visit again.

Nice clean restaurant. Very courteous and pleasant staff. Good pot of tea. Lovely fish and chips. Would have been 5 stars but I personally don't like their tartar sauce, it has a perfumed tang. Otherwise delicious with great service.
