Good car park with lots of space but the lifts were very slow.
The car park at the BayView Centre is on two levels and offers free parking for two hours on the upper deck and three hours downstairs. Once you get past those times charges kick in and get expensive quite quickly but three hours should be more than enough time to see everything there is to see in Colwyn Bay....several times over.The carpark has a barrier controlled entry system where you collect a ticket on the way in and then to get out you have to validate your ticket in one of the machines in the centre, and depending on how longer you've been there pay the appropriate fee. This system sometimes slows down the flow of traffic but that's more than offset by the fact that it means there's no need to employ a bunch of cowboys to "manage" the carpark as it's impossible to avoid paying up on the day if required. The only supermarket in the centre of Colwyn Bay is the branch of Morrisons in the BayView Centre and as a result it's just about the only supermarket left in Conwy County where you can shop and not have to worry about receiving a "parking charge notice" through the post a few days later as a reward for your custom. That's why this is the only supermarket I'm now prepared to shop at as I'm no longer prepared to take the risk of parking at Asda in Llandudno or Tesco in Llandudno Junction. Not that Morrisons will be complaining I'm sure.
